Adult Nasal Cannula 7ft with Straight Tip — For Hyperbaric Chamber
Comfortable low-flow oxygen for mild HBOT and long sessions.
Comfortable Low-Flow Oxygen Delivery for Hyperbaric Sessions
The Regular Nasal Cannula provides comfortable, low-flow oxygen delivery for hyperbaric chamber sessions where a full face mask isn't necessary or preferred. Delivering 24–44% FiO2 at typical flow rates, cannulas are ideal for mild HBOT protocols, sensitive users who find face masks claustrophobic, longer daily maintenance sessions, and pediatric or elderly users who need gentle supplemental oxygen without the weight and enclosure of a mask.
Prestige Hyperbaric cannulas use soft, hyperbaric-grade tubing and premium nasal prong construction — noticeably more comfortable during full 60–90 minute sessions than the disposable cannulas found in general medical supply catalogs.
Why the Regular Nasal Cannula Is Optimized for Hyperbaric Chamber Use
Maximum comfort for long sessions. Cannulas are worn every day in home HBOT practice. Prestige cannulas use soft, pliable medical-grade tubing that doesn't kink or dig into cheeks and ears the way stiff disposable cannulas do. Behind-the-ear routing distributes weight evenly.
Full range of motion. Cannulas allow the user to talk, drink water, and shift position freely during a session — critical for long HBOT protocols where mask claustrophobia can cause users to cut sessions short.
Doesn't fog windows or interfere with reading/screens. Unlike face masks that direct exhaled moisture upward, cannulas keep the user's line of sight totally clear — a big deal for users who read, watch content, or work during their chamber sessions.
Universal oxygen fitting. Standard 1/4" oxygen supply connector compatible with every hyperbaric chamber, oxygen concentrator, and portable tank on the market.
Prestige quality upgrades vs. standard cannulas:
- Softer, more pliable tubing — doesn't kink or crack over long use
- Rounded nasal prongs — less nasal irritation during multi-week daily use
- Comfort-shaped tubing routing — designed to sit comfortably behind ears without slipping
- Reinforced connections — reduced tearing at the tubing-connector joint
FiO2 Performance Chart
| Oxygen Flow Rate (LPM) | Approximate Delivered FiO2 | Recommended Use |
|---|---|---|
| 1 LPM | 24% | Mild supplemental oxygen |
| 2 LPM | 28% | Comfortable maintenance flow |
| 3 LPM | 32% | Standard supplemental HBOT flow |
| 4 LPM | 36% | Higher-support mild HBOT |
| 5 LPM | 40% | Upper end of comfortable cannula flow |
| 6 LPM | 44% | Maximum before nasal drying/irritation |
| 6+ LPM | (Diminishing returns) | Switch to face mask or NRB for higher FiO2 |

When to Choose a Cannula (vs. a Mask)
Choose a nasal cannula if you:
- Practice daily maintenance HBOT and prioritize comfort
- Find full face masks claustrophobic or distracting
- Want to read, watch content, or work during your session
- Need to eat/drink during longer sessions
- Are running mild HBOT (1.3–1.5 ATA) where high FiO2 isn't critical
- Are a pediatric or elderly user for whom masks are uncomfortable
- Need FiO2 above 44%
- Are running high-pressure HBOT (1.75+ ATA) protocols
- Are treating a specific condition where maximum oxygen concentration matters
- Experience nasal congestion or mouth-breathing during sessions (cannulas only work through the nose)

Replacement Schedule
For optimal safety, hygiene, and oxygen delivery efficiency, we recommend replacing your mask at least once every 30 days with regular use. High-frequency users (daily sessions) or clinical operators should replace more often. Masks are single-patient devices — do not share between users.
Signs your mask needs replacement:
- Discoloration or yellowing of the plastic or rubber
- Cracking, stiffening, or loss of pliability in seals
- Any tear, hole, or damage to the reservoir bag or tubing
- Loss of head-strap elasticity
- Persistent odor after cleaning

Backed by Peer-Reviewed Research
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy works because pressurized oxygen dissolves into blood plasma at levels far higher than normal breathing allows — reaching tissues that regular circulation cannot. The efficiency of that oxygen delivery depends heavily on the mask and delivery system used inside the chamber.
