Vessel of Power: The Lay-Down Softshell That Makes Daily Sessions Easy
The full-length lay-down member of the Prestige monoplace lineup: stretch out, look out through a panoramic window, and keep daily ownership simple.

Some sessions are better lying down. That is the whole pitch, and honestly, it is a good one. The Vessel of Power is Prestige’s full-length softshell lay-down chamber: one person, stretched out, settled in, with a panoramic window and a pressure plan that is easy to understand. It is the accessible entry point into a serious at-home routine, and it was built for the owner who wants daily use to feel calm instead of complicated.
Monday spotlights are where we slow down and look at one chamber the way our technicians do: what it is, what it is not, and what it takes to make ownership feel easy six months after delivery. Today, it is the lay-down member of the Prestige monoplace lineup.
Lay flat, look out, settle in
The Vessel of Power is a multi-layer softshell with reinforced, heat-sealed seams and a high-strength zipper. You lie flat inside a fabric-walled chamber with a large transparent panoramic viewing window, so the room around you stays part of the experience. For a lot of owners, that horizontal posture is the whole point: it reads as rest, not as an appointment.
The current Vessel of Power product page lists the model as PHP-VP-15, with working pressure adjustable up to 1.5 ATA and a capacity of one person. It is a monoplace by design, and that simplicity is a feature. One occupant, one clear operating routine, one chamber that fits into a real home.
The brass-tacks specs
- Orientation: lay-down, one person
- Max working pressure: up to 1.5 ATA, adjustable
- Listed dimensions: 90 in long × 36 in wide × 36 in high (229 × 91 × 91 cm)
- Listed weight: approximately 37 lb (17 kg)
- Oxygen delivery: 10 LPM standard via the included 10L concentrator, with an optional 20 LPM upgrade
- Compressor: oil-free, low-noise air compressor, included
- Power: standard household outlet
- Controls: internal and external pressure gauges, an adjustable pressure valve, and dual relief valves
In the box: the oil-free compressor, the 10L oxygen concentrator, a cooling and dehumidification module, air filters with a spare set, the power cable and air and oxygen hoses, plus a quick-start guide and safety card. Every chamber also comes with a full owner’s manual and Prestige support.
Here is the honest regulatory line, because owners deserve it upfront. Softshell hyperbaric chambers are FDA cleared at 1.3 ATA for the treatment of altitude sickness. Operation above 1.3 ATA, including 1.5 ATA wellness use, is considered off-label. Prestige is not a medical facility, and our FDA disclosure spells out the details.
Safety features you can actually see
We like safety features that are visible and easy to explain during orientation. The Vessel of Power uses dual relief valves for primary and emergency over-pressure protection, interior and exterior pressure and airflow indicators, and power-failure auto-depressurization. The listing also calls out quiet, low-noise operation and cotton-forward clothing guidance to minimize static, which is the same cotton-first habit we teach on every chamber we deliver.
Room planning is short, but it matters
The product listing describes the Vessel of Power as compact enough to move through a standard doorway and run on a household outlet. That makes it one of the friendliest chambers in the lineup to place. Still, our technicians like to plan a few things before delivery day:
- A clear 90-inch run for the chamber, plus walking room on the entry side
- A home for the compressor and concentrator where airflow, hoses, and service access stay clear
- A simple spot for the quick-start guide, safety card, and spare filters
- Who will be operating, and when the orientation walk-through happens
Send us room measurements and a couple of photos and we will help you sort it out before anything ships. It is the unglamorous part of premium ownership, and it is exactly the part we enjoy.
Grow into it, on your timeline
The Vessel of Power is built to start simple and grow with the owner. Common upgrades include the 20 LPM oxygen upgrade, soft-shell white-glove installation (moving, unpacking, installation, testing, use instruction, and after-support), an extended parts and labor warranty, and a maintenance service plan. The base warranty is 3 years or 1,000 hours residential, or 1 year or 1,000 hours commercial. For owners who need to talk with a landlord, insurer, or facility about chamber air, the chamber is also compatible with our OxySafe chamber air purge system.
Why the lay-down softshell earns its spot
Not every room needs a hardshell, and not every owner wants an upright session. The Vessel of Power is the lineup’s answer for people who want to stretch out, keep the footprint light, and keep ownership straightforward. Our job is to make sure that choice feels just as considered after delivery as it did in the showroom: thoughtful setup, a clear handoff, parts on hand, and a team that picks up the phone.
