Freight Day at Prestige: How a Chamber Leaves Our Dock Ready for Your Room
Corner boards, stretch wrap, a counted packing list and a pallet jack with a lot of miles on it. Here is what freight day looks like in our Holiday, Florida shop, and how to make delivery day easy on your end.
Everybody loves the install photos. Nobody posts the pallet. Today we are posting the pallet. Before a chamber ever lands in a living room, a garage gym or a wellness studio, it spends a morning at our loading dock getting checked, counted, stacked and wrapped by the same team that will support it for years. We call it freight day, and honestly, it is one of our favorite days of the week.
It starts on the bench, not the dock
A chamber is more than a shell. Depending on the model there is the chamber body, the all-in-one unit that handles air (and on most models oxygen and cooling), hoses, fittings, a mattress or seating, covers and the paperwork that keeps it all organized. Before anything gets boxed, our technicians walk the order against the packing list, part by part. Hoses get capped and coiled. Fittings get bagged and labeled. Manuals go in where you will actually find them.
We are engineers first, so we cannot help ourselves: if something looks like it could ride better, we change how we pack it. A lot of our small packing tweaks came straight from watching real deliveries and asking, how do we make this one smoother?
How a pallet gets built
Heavy and square on the bottom. The densest cartons go down first, squared to the pallet edges so nothing overhangs and nothing gets a corner knocked on a trailer wall.
Corner boards on every edge. Cardboard edge protectors run up the vertical corners of the stack. They are cheap, they are boring, and they make a massive difference to how a stack holds its shape.
Wrap it like you mean it. Stretch film goes on in overlapping passes from the pallet deck up, locking the cartons to the wood and to each other. A tight wrap means the whole stack moves as one piece through every forklift and liftgate between our dock and your driveway.
Count, photograph, document. Carton count gets written down, the finished pallet gets photographed, and the paperwork goes with it. When your shipment arrives, you and our team are looking at the same numbers.
Why we sweat the boring stuff
Here is the brass-tacks truth: a careful pack is the first step of a reliable install. When every part shows up together, labeled and in order, install day is about getting your chamber running and training you on it, not hunting for a fitting. That is the whole point of keeping parts on hand and packing our own freight. We would rather spend an extra twenty minutes at the dock than make you wait on anything.
Freight orders follow the timing in our shipping policy, and deliveries may need an appointment, so we keep you in the loop with tracking once your order leaves the building.
Make delivery day easy at home
A little prep on your side makes delivery day a breeze:
Plan the path. Measure doorways, hallways and turns from the curb to the room where the chamber will live. If you want help with room planning, we are happy to talk it through before the truck ever rolls.
Be there for the driver. Count the cartons against the paperwork and look over the packaging before you sign, exactly the way our shipping policy lays out. Snap a few photos of the pallet as it arrives. It takes two minutes and keeps everything clean and simple.
Leave it wrapped until it is time. Keep cartons sealed and together until setup, so every part stays where we packed it.
Call us with anything. Questions about what is in which box? Call 727-591-4268 or email prestigehyperbaric@gmail.com and a real technician will walk you through it.
Same team, start to finish
Freight day is a small window into how we work. Our engineers design our own improvements, we keep parts on the shelf so routine care never turns into a waiting game, and we train every owner on daily checks and oxygen safety basics so the chamber stays reliable, safe and doing exactly what it should.
Buy from Prestige, get supported by Prestige forever—the same team who packed it, built it and installed it stays in your corner long after delivery day, and knows every part by name.
Prestige chambers are wellness equipment, and we keep our promises focused on what we control: reliable equipment, careful packing and setup, safe operation and real support. If you have questions about whether hyperbaric sessions are right for you, talk with a qualified healthcare professional.
Bottom line: square stacks, corner boards, a tight wrap and a counted list. That is freight day at Prestige, and it is how your chamber starts its trip to you.
